This oneshot is not safe for work (NSFW). View at your own discretion.
Hey there, Garo fans! I’ve got another Garo oneshot for you all, which was originally published in the August 1992 issue of the magazine.
This oneshot is from an author who I hadn’t heard of prior to this, but whom I’ve quickly become a fan of, named Tani Hiroji. His works draw influence from classic American pulp magazines of the 1920’s and 1930’s such as “Weird Tales” or “Amazing Stories”, as well as the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
On the cover page there’s some Japanese on the sidebar. It’s not actually a part of the story, and we couldn’t figure out a good way to typeset the translation for it, so we left the
Japanese there instead. If you’re curious about what it says, the translation is as follows:
This work is based on “Necropolis”, originally published in “Comic Dash”, 1990 March Issue (Tatsumi Publishing), re-imagining it with a fresh concept.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this oneshot as much as I did!
If you’re interested in this style of manga and would like to help us release more of it, we’re accepting applications.
We still could use a few more cleaners, typesetters, proofreaders, and translators, so please apply today by heading on over to our recruitment page.
